Data in itself is often highly useful and Space Manager allows customers to record view and interrogate their building or property information. However, there is an increasing trend for property owners to take a strategic view of their various holdings, which is why they use PIM. The latest version of PIM2 improves still further the ability of customers to not only carry out benchmarking and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) comparisons, but also to then combine the KPI data with external data. Tuesday, October 28, 2008 Cultural heritage digitised using Pythagoras SpaceManager The largest landlord of Swedish state owned cultural properties, Statens Fastighetsverk (SFV), is documenting all their properties in Pythagoras SpaceManager and Web based PublicationManager. This will make all their commercial and cultural properties information easily accessible and widely available to those who should be able to view them. Pythagoras SpaceManager will give SFV a great means of controlling all areas and usage at all levels for all their buildings down to room level. This information will enable SFV to ensure that correct rent is charged. Some of the buildings are very old and their documentation paper based. These buildings will now also be a part of the highly modern Pythagoras graphical database. - It is crucial as a building owner and landlord to have control over space and other information, says Per Williamson at SFV. - The information will benefit not only us but also our clients when they plan their activities, space planning, cleaning, key management etc. The unique Pythagoras object oriented advanced technology allows SFV to create graphical data models of all their buildings in which all Net and Gross areas are calculated automatically according to, in this case, the Swedish standard for area calculation. Pythagoras PublicationManager is a web based tool to publicise graphical and numerical information about their portfolio internally (and potentially externally) Tuesday, September 26, 2006 2 New University clients Roehampton University and Institute of Education, both based in London, have chosen to use Pythagoras systems as their Property and Facilities information management solution.
